A self-propelled mower-conditioner-windrower hungrily devours a sea of alfalfa as it paddles its way around
the waves of contours. It reduces the crop to neat rows of forage. The knife chatters rapidly, and
each alfalfa stem trembles as the “teeth” approach. Bugs jump from stem to stem, trying to stay ahead of
the untiring machine with the big appetite. Pleasant scents of the freshly cut crop fill the air.
Overhead a hot sun shines brightly from a cloudless sky, causing plants to wilt and bare arms to tan.
IPs a great time of year, even if it does represent a lot of work and long hours.
