Cows and bulls near 10 per cent of cattle receipts, feeders near 88 per cent of the total. Conventional cooling systems use fan cooled condensers to remove the refrigerant heat. This wasted heat can now be saved with the use of the THERM A«STOR HRS. By replacing the fan cooled condensers with a THERM A*STOR, the heat from the hot refrigerant is transferred to cold water, which in turn becomes hot water. This process will heat about 1 gallon of water to about 110° for every gallon of milk being cooled. In addition, the THERMA«STOR produces and stores 1/3 of its capacity in Hot Waiter from 150° to 190°. (The precise temperature of water reached in this section is dependent upon total compressor H.P. and running time, see Chart for more details). June 30,1977 Compared with the previous weeks dose - part of more substantial advance lost at midweek. Cows steady to weak, bulls firm to 1.00 higher. Four day receipts 19,700 as compared 17,600 previous week and 17,700 a year ago. Fed Cattle prices advanced sharply on Monday and Tuesday under an aggressive demand by most buying interests; part of the upturn was lost at midweek, however, as many packers acquired sufficient numbers for immediate requirements and did not want a sub stantial carry-over for the long non-slaughter weekend. The advance in live prices was supported by a higher carcass trade the fore part of week but midweek demand was reported as light and prices turned downward. There was a fairly liberal percentage of choice steers, but much of the heifer supply was good to average-choice. Steers made up ap proximately 50 and heifers 32. Cows comprised 11 and feeders 5.
