2.35 pounds of butterfat per cow per day. His high in
dividual record was established by “Mistress,” a 6-year
old, which produced 20,242 pounds of milk with a 5.0 per
cent average test for 1009 pounds of butterfat. His other
cow to go over 1000 pounds of butterfat last month was
“Jill,” with credits of 22,747 for milk and 1004 for but
terfat. The high cow in milk production was Henry King’s
“Rachel,” a 6-year old Holstein which pumped out 23,223
pounds of milk with a 3.5 per cent test for 815 pounds of
butterfat.
