She was more than 3000 pounds ahead of the runner-up milk production nhampinn _ “Mandy,” owned by Daniel B. Shirk. Both cows began thier lactations at the age of four years and four months. In the butterfat race, Sonnen Acres’ “Spice” edged Abram Lefever’s “Benita” by a pound: 826 to 825. Close behind were Dan Shirk’s “Linda” with 821 pounds and Melvin Horst’s Number 19 which was credited with 819 pounds of butterfat.
