Arnold Acres is owner of the top cow in Lebanon County’s DHIA program for lac
tations completed last month. Their 3-year old “Sissy” pumped out 24,852 pounds of
milk, testing 3.7 per cent, for 909 pounds of butterfat.
High herd honors for the month go to Dale Hostetter and Sons whose 79 Holsteins
averaged 2.27 pounds of butterfat per day.

mission of American farm
leaders, headed by Allan
Grant, president of the
American Farm Bureau
Federation (AFBF),
currently is making a 10-day
tour of Israel
The group of Farm Bureau
leaders from 10 states, many
accompanied by their wives,
are visiting a variety of
agricultural projects and
meeting with Israeli
agricultural officials.
The mission is part of
AFBF’s continuing effort to
improve and expand foreign
trade relations. Grant
headed a similar mission to
Europe last month.
On the return trip to the
U.S., the farm leaders will
stop off at Rome to meet with
officials of the United
Nations Food and
Agricultural Organization.
