Forestry
scholarships available
CARLISLE, Pa. - Each
year the wood-using in
dustries of Pennsylvania,
together with Agricultural
Extension Service, sponsors
a Forestry Training Camp
of one week at Stone Valley
in Centre County.
The 24th annual camp for
both boys and girls will be
held from June 26 to July 2,
1977.
The basic purpose of this
training camp is to develop
in its participants an ap
preciation of our natural
reaources-land, water, and
forests. Growth,
management and wise
utilization of these resources
are explained to campers
through class sessions, field
trips, and visits to
manufacturing plants.
Forestry is the dominant
theme throughout the
program. Educational and
recreational activities are
designed to permit. each
individual to participate and
benefit from the six-day
program.
Tyson at Farm Credit.
YORK - Jeffrey M. Tyson
has been employed as a field
representative for the York
Farm Credit Associations.
Tyson, who began his duties
April 18th, will be servicing
the credit needs for
agricultural producers in
York County.
Tyson was reared on a
farm in Pylesville,
Maryland. He graduated

Tuberculin testing will be
done from 10 a.m. to noon
and 1 to 5 p.m. Cost is $l.OO.
Persons having this test will
return for a report on May 5

Association, will be done

p.m. Cost is $l.OO. A normal
meal should be eaten two
hours before having the test.
The American Heart
Association will be checking
blood pressure fron 10 a.m.
to noon and 1 to 5 p.m.
Free educational
materials are available
about all lung diseases as
well as smoking in the
Lancaster County Lung
Association office.
