convened at the Pocono
Enivronmental Education
Center, Dingman’s Ferry,
for a weekend of leadership
training and social in
teraction.

INSECT CONTROL UNIT
Flintrol, Inc. of Jonesboro,
Kansas, is now marketing
the FLINTROL Model 8611 S
portable flying insect control
unit for use in lobby areas,
offices, dining rooms, and
other areas where attractive
appearance is important.
The unit can also be used
to supplement control. in
problem areas and is USDA
accepted for sensitive
process areas. A handy
carrying handle makes
transporting easy. Rubber
feet prevent damage to fine
surfaces.
The 8611 S can also be wall
mounted if preferred.
As part of a FLINTROL
System or alone, the 8611 S
provides total electric
continuous control of flying
insects 24 hours a day.
Attractant light is emitted
from the front of the unit by
two 14-watt FLINTROL

An escape proof con
tainment tray and protective
guard are integral parts of
the unit. A safety micro
switch is located on the tray
which shuts off power
automatically when tray is
removed for any reason.
FLINTROL units are
environmentally acceptable,
non-chemical appliances
which attract flying bisects,
electrocute them using a
self-cleaning grid and catch
their remains in an escape
proof tray.
The light emitted from the
units is ultraviolet light
produced by a black light
fluorescent tube coated on
the inside with a special
blended phosphor, harmless
to the human eye, yet
highly attractive to flying
insects. The tubes are
manufactured exclusively
