ARE YOU RUNNING OUT OF HAY?
Replace hay with rye silage. If cut at the proper stage of
growth rye silage can have as much as 24% protein. It is
high in vitamins and fiber. Don’t wilt it too much so it packs
well for a good ferment. When wilted to dry, it overheats
and you lose those valuable vitamins and digestible protein
Don’t forget to treat it with IM - PRUV - Al I 303 silage
compound for a fast 3 day ferment. IM - PRUV - ALL
treatment on silage saves protein, vitamins, energy, and
makes it very tasty. Your animals will love it.

Acrylic bathtubs
easy to care for
UNIVERSITY PARK -
Acrylic bathtub s and shower
units require special care,
say Extension specialists at
Penn State University, but
the smooth contour lines of
molded bathtub shower units
make necessary daily care
easy. For everday cleansing
use a soft cloth and any
liquid detergent.
Acrylic units are usually
reinforced with fiberglass
and provide a thick, strong,
smooth surface. Using
abrasive or solvent-base
cleaners can mar this sur
face. Instead, use dry
powdered detergent on a
damp cloth. This com
bination will provide
adequate, mild abrasive
action to clean the unit.
Remove plaster, glue, or
paint by scraping gently with
a soft wood stick or rice
paddle. Metal scrapers, wire
brushes, other metal tools
should not be used on acrylic
tubs or shower units, remind
the Extension specialists
Remove light scratches
and dulled areas by rubbing
an automotive-type body
cleaning compound on the
surface. Follow this cleaning
with a light application of
liquid wax - the type used for
home appliances.
