students who then begin
scrubbing, clipping,
brushing, leading, and
training. By April 30, both
the animals and the students
are ready for the
competition. Champions are
chosen in each species and
overall. Awards are
presented at a banquet
which follows the show at
6:30 p.m.
The banquet will honor the
man for whom the 60th Little
International is dedicated-
Richard Kuzemchek,
University shepherd; and
the 1977 Distinguished
Alumnus of the Department
of Dairy and Animal
Science, Dr. James
Christian of the University of
Georgia.
The Exposition was
founded in 1917 by Peter B.
MacKenzie, a former
superintendent of livestock
at the University. The
“Little International” dif
fers from the Chicago show
in that it is judged on the
student’s performance in
fitting and showing animals
rather than the animal’s
merits. The show offers a
learning experience to the
participants and an en
joyable day to the spec
tators.

What's new
The Binley Company has
introduced a" new bale
carrier, called the Port-a-
Bale. It can haul any size
bale from three feet to six
feet in diameter without the
operator ever leaving his
tractor. Non-stop loading
and unloading of bales, from
front or rear, is made
possible by the unique design
of the Port-a-Bale.
No matter what their
condition, tied or untied,
perfect or damaged, bales
will be handled by the Port
a-Bale. In addition, they are
compressed end to end for
improved weather

Since Port-a-Bale utilizes
