with limited late sales fully

higher.
Four day receipts 12,600 as
compared 14,500 previous
week and 15,600 a year ago.
The fed Cattle trade followed
a mildly uneven price pat
tern during the period, but
day-to-day variations were
not as severe as on frequent
occasions over the past
several weeks. Most in
terests came into the week
with farily good inventories
on hand, but by midweek
some were aggressive
for numbers to meet the
balance of the week’s
slaughter quota: on the other
hand a few plants will be
closed on Good Friday and
demand there was adjusted
to accomodate this situation.
Carcass trading showed the
traditional Holy Week
bearishness early, but
turned sharply higher at
midweek. Slaughter steers
made up approximately 50 of
the week’s total and heifers
35. Cows comprised 13.
