104 —Lancaster Farming, Saturda: Top students honored LEBANON,Pa.- The nineteenth annual banquet at the Northern Lebanon FFA Chapter was held recently with approximately 350 members and guests attending. The “Chosen Ones”, a gospel ensemble including Kevin Moyer of the Northern Lebanon FFA Chapter, entertained the guests. A sweetheart pin was presented to Darlene Ditzler the chapter’s new sweetheart. Following tins, Herman Manbeck, State FFA chaplain, gave opening remarks. - Frances Bragg delivered a report on - her work experiences in Switzerland and Austria last summer. Miss Bragg spent six months working on farms in those countries while participating in the FFA Work Experience Abroad program. During' this time she also toured various sites of interest in Europe. After Miss Bragg’s report, a slide presentation concerning chapter activities throughout the past year was shown.. Presentation of awards highlighted the evening. The first awards were honorary membership degrees given to Mr. and Mrs. Richard Boltz, Mr. and Mrs. Harold Sweinhart, and Mr. Glen Moyer. Following this, the chapter’s outstanding freshman, Michael Brajkovich, received the Star Greenhand award. The runner-up for this award received leadership medals. Special awards were presented to those people who served on the Parliamentary Procedure team for two years or more. The recipients of these awards were Larry Gross, Arthur Sweinhart, Mark Tyipin, Dennis Wenger, and Chester Michael. The other team members - Scott Ritchie, Tom Seaman, and Tom Donmoyer - received state gold medal awards. A state gold medal and a trophy were presented to Gary Lentz for having won a gold medal in the state dairy judging contest for the by second time. Daniel Bausher received a bronze medal in .this same contest. A special plaque was awarded to Dennis Schoffstall, coach, and the members of our FFA basketball team for placing first in the county for the past two years. Trophies were then awarded to Arthur Sweinhart and Helen Walborn for placing first in the seed sales contest. ~ The outstanding chicken barbecue salespersons were Mike Shuey and Johna Fry and the outstanding citrus fruit salespersons were Barry Donmoyer, Helen Waiborn, and Johna Fry. They also received trophies. Winners of the FFA showcase trophies were: Tom Seaman for his swine project; Arthur Sweinhart for his poultry project; Barry Donmoyer for his dairy project; Barb Herr for her steer project; Mike Shuey for tractor driving; Daniel Bausher for public speaking; and Mark Typrpin for corn production. Royster importing ammonia NORFOLK, Va.—Royster Company, headquartered here, announced that it is entering into a dual agreement with Occidental Chemical Company, Houston, Tez., on the pur chasing and terminating of anhydrous ammonia, a basic nitrogen fertilizer material. The Royster terminal is now under construction by Tidewater Construction Corporation of Norfolk and is scheduled for completion in late 1977. It will be available to the public for storage and transshipment of ammonia. The new complex will have a storage capacity of 35,000 metric tons, will be able to unload vessels at the rate of 1,250 tons per hour and outload at the rate of 100 tons per hour.
