Plenty of Ready Milk
Forty fresh within the past 2-months. Nineteen dry
cows some of which will be fresh or springing by sale
day. The herd is on test with good records; the herd
average is over 500 F and has been up to 600 F. Tester’s
weights, made shortly before sale, will be announced
on sale day. Much of the herd was fresh in late summer
and fall, and are bred back for the same time this year.
Herd is currently producing over 5200 lbs. daily and
they also made that amount for the base period.
A Young Herd
Sixty to seventy head are first and second calf
heifers. They have very nice udders and are nearly all
sired by Sire Power bulls, which were used until the
past year. The heard is now bred to a registered
Holstein bull from a dam who made 22,000 lbs. milk,
and he is also selling. This herd offers good, sound,
milking animals that will please the buyers.
Equipment Selling
1500 gal. Girton milk tank with a 7% hp. compressor,
in excellent condition. Complete double 5 herringbone
parlor with double pipeline, DeLaval milker, Clay
feeders, and a large DeLaval milker pump - sells
complete as a unit. Also some buckets and small dairy
equipment.
Ensilage
Aprox. 250 tons of com silage in an upright silo. Silo
is equipped with an unloader and silage can be loaded
easily on trucks or wagons.
Note: Arrangements can be made with the owner to
hold and milk any animals that cannot be moved until
April Ist.
