MENGIS MILLS, Pa. -
Historic Colonial Valley in

the annual meeting of the
York County Pork

Following the family style
dinner, President' Roger
Bankert presided over a
brief business meeting.
Several outgoing directors
were reelected for another
term and the county - wide
pork barbecue was
scheduled for June 11 at the
Flickers’ Grove park.
Mrs. Carolyn Rutter,
Dover Rl, is heading the
promotional activities of the
Pork Producers part in an
upcoming York Mall Ag Day
display on March 18 and 19.
Two baby pigs will catch the
eye of visiting shoppers and
help draw potential interest
in the Association’s up
coming Pork Cookout King
contest.
The evening’s program
included two films arranged
by Asst. Co. Extension Agent
Tony Dobrosky. “Surprise

support of the advertising
activities are raised through

cents per marketed hog.
The colorful menu
suggestions included in the
film cover the variety of
ways .to serve nutritional
pork. Attractively cooked
and arranged, the serving
suggestions almost put the
smell of ready - to - eat pork
in the air. Cartoon
characters help to sell the
food - buying housewife on
the outstanding qualities of
pork as a source of high
quality protein that is both
lean and highly digestible.
. “The Covenant,” produced
by the American Veterinary
Medicine Association,
detailed the wide range of
subjects that must be
mastered by students in
veterinary science colleges.
And once graduated, the new
“vet” can enter a diversified
field of jobs in private
practices, military positions,
research, food testing and
certification, zoo health, and
