Sr. Citizen rebate claim forms must be filed by June 30
HARRISBURG, Pa. - Rep.
Noah W. Wenger, R-
Lancaster, has reminded
senior citizens that claim
forms now available for
rebates on their paid 1976
property taxes or rent
payments must be filed by
June 30, 1977
“Senior citizens age 65 or
over, widows and widowers
between the ages of 50 and
64, and disabled persons of
any age may be eligible for
rebates up to $2OO, provided
the total income of claimant
and spouse did not exceed
$7499 in 1976, “Wenger said.
“Claim forms are mailed
automatically to all persons
who received rebates last
year. Those who are eligible
for the first time may obtain
a claim form from my

The Lancaster County
legislator explained that all
persons filing for a rebate
must submit receipted 1976
tax bills or a rent certificate
with their claim. First - time
claimants must also submit
proof of age or disability.
A claimant must have
either owned and occupied
the property or rented and
occupied their home,
apartment, or nursing home
in Pennsylvania during the
period in 1976 for which a
rebate is claimed.
