BUTTER MINTS
1 pound confectioners sugar
Vs pound butter
3 tablespoons warm water
Mix above together by
hand. Food coloring-add a
few drops at a time until you
get the desired color. Pep
permint - add a few drops
until you get the desired
flavor. Mix all ingredients
together by hand; then roll
into balls and flatten with a
fork. Chill in the
refrigerator.

PUMPKIN
OATMEAL COOKIES
% cup butter
1 cup sugar
2 eggs
1 cup pumpkin
1 teaspoon vanilla
l-% cups sifted flour
2 teaspoons baking powder
% teaspoon soda
Vz teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon cinnamon
Vz teaspoon nutmeg
Vt teaspoon cloves
1-Ms cups quick oatmeal
Vz cup coconut
Vz cup chopped nuts
Cream butter and sugar.
Beat in eggs; add pumpkin

ingredients. Stir in oatmeal,
coconut and nuts. Bake at 375
'degrees F. for about 12
minutes.

BROWNIES «
2 cups crushed graham
crackers
1 can sweetened condensed
milk
1 package (12 ounce)
chocolate chips
Mix ingredients together
and bake in greased 9” x 9”
pan at 350 degrees F. for 35
minutes or until done. Cut in
squares.

SPECIAL K COOKIES
l-Vi cups sifted flour
% teaspoon baking soda
% teaspoon salt
% cup soft butter or
margarine
Two-thirds cup sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 egg
3 cups Special K cereal
Sift together flour, soda,
salt. Blend butter, sugar,
vanilla until light and fluffy;
add eggs. Beat well. Stir in
dry ingredients together
with one cup of Special K.
Roll teaspoon of dough in
remaining Special K. Place
on baking sheet. Bake at 325
or 350 degrees F. for about 10
minutes. Makes 40 .cookies.
