Walton. The Newcomen Society is a nonprofit, educational corporation, chartered to increase knowledge and appreciation of the free enterprise system through the study of business, in dustrial and institutional history. In response to this honor. Dr. Walton stated, “ABS is a company dedicated to creating genetically superior bulls and distributing their superiority via artifical insemination to improve cattle around the world.” He traced A.I. from its earliest beginnings, through the establishment of ABS by J. Rockefeller Prentice, to the company’s present position of leadership in the A.I. industry. He offered an in depth view of the ABS growth and company philosophy. FFA hosted ag educators KANSAS CITY, Mo.—The nation’s largest annual student convention got un derway here last week as 20,000 Future Farmers of America, their advisors and guests gathered in for the 49th National FFA Con vention. A special feature of this year’s convention was the Ist World Conference in Agricultural Education for Youth and Adult Leaders. FFA members hosted 200 representatives of rural youth organizations from twenty five countries. On the convention floor Future Farmers heard keynote speeches from “The World’s Strongest Man” and the astronaut with the longest recorded time on the moon. In Ist World Conference in Agricultural Education being held in conjunction with the National FFA Convention, brought students and adult representatives from around the world together to par ticipate in panel discussions, International Ag "Olympics, and participation in joint sessions of the FFA Con vention. While in Kansas City, international guests had the opportunity to share and exchange ideas with some of the 20,000 FFA members attending the convention. The initial idea of the conference came from a 1970 National FFA Con vention International Committee Report.
