Miss Weimer’s late junior
yearling heifer, “FPP

champion heifer in the
competition among 4-H and
FFA youth in the Polled
Shorthorn Class. Marcilynn
Boron, Venus, Venango
County, showed the reserve
champion heifer in the same
division, “RGL Venus Vickie
2,” a senior heifer calf.
Smith’s senior calf, “GC
Miss Mimi” was named
junior champion female
before receiving the grand
championship in the
Charolais division. In ad
dition, Smith’s summer
yearling, “GC Lady
Greenhands
initiated
KUTZTOWN, Pa. - The
Kutztown FFA Chapter held
their annual Greenhand
Initiation Ceremony,
recently. During a regular
October FFA meeting, the
Greenhand Degree was
conferred on 16 FFA can
didates. The Greenhand
Degree is the first degree
that can be received in the
FFA.
