top 4-H boy , girl
CARLISLE, Pa. - Cum
berland County 4-H Clubs
announced the selection of
several of its members to
receive recognition for their
4-H work. Beth Hemminger,
Centerville, and Tim Wentz,
Carlisle, were chosen 1976
Outstanding 4-H Girl and
Boy of Cumberland County.
They were presented a
trophy sponsored by the
Carlisle Kiwanis Club at the
4-H Achievement Night
Banquet held in the begin
ning of October.
Beth Hemminger, the
daughter of Mr. and Mrs.
Floyd Hemminger, has been
a 4-H member for nine years.
She has taken 4-H Projects in
clothing, dairy, cooking,
recreation, vegetable flower
gardening, forestry, wildlife,
health and photography.
Beth has been a teen leader
five years, 4-H Keystone
winner in clothing in 1976
(top 10 in state) and a
member of the state 4-H
flower judging team in 1975-
76.
Tim Wentz, a five year 4-H
member, is the son of Mr.
and Mrs. Alan Wentz. He has
taken 4-H projects in horse,
woodworking, field crops,
