A registered Holstein cow owned by Emanuel S.
Smucker, Gap Rl, completed the highest 305 day lac
tation. Daisy produced 24,630 pounds of milk, 1,065 pounds
of butter fat with a 4.3 per cent test. Second high lactation
was completed by a registered Holstein cow owned by
Edgefield Farms, Quarryville. Marcy produced 24,528
pounds of milk, 1,053 pounds of butterfat with a 4.3 per
cent test.
The herd of Edgefield Farms, Quarryville, had the
highest daily butterfat average. This herd of 60.9
registered & grade Holstein cows produced 55.1 pounds of
milk, 1.99 pounds of butterfat with a 3.6 per cent test. T
