“Annette” came within two pounds of breaking the 1000-pound mark for butterfat
produced in one lactation. Owned by Willow Maple Farm, she topped the September
list of completed DHIA records in Lebanon County. Her statistics for the lactation
read: 24,058 pounds of milk, a 4.1 per cent test and 998 pounds of butterfat. She began
her record at five years and eight months of age.
