Placements of broiler chicks were 1,636,000. The placements were 32 per cent above the corresponsing week in 1975, and four per cent above the previous week. Average placements during the past ten weeks were 20 per cent above a year ago. In the 21 key poultry producinng states, placements were 57,717,000. This is nine per cent above the previous week and three per cent more than the same week a year earlier.
