A total of 70 calves are marked to be sold following grading by Professor Ben Morgan, Extension animal scientist from Penn State University. He will be assisted by Jared Tyson, Adams County agent - beef. 1.53 3.5 1.53 Most of the calves in the sale were born in January and* February of this year, with a few being December 1975 calves, and some a bit younger. They’ve all received their appropriate shots and are eligible for out of state as well as in state shipment. Spokesmen for the sale say the'Calves are ready for 4-H and FFA projects, herd replacements, and feed lots. The animals have been weaned, started on feed, and males are castrated. The Greiber farm is on the left. An indoor horse arena will be used for the sale. Less than a year old, the Adams County Beef Producers Association has been very active in promoting beef cattle and related activities throughout the County. Earlier this year, for example, the group finished construction of a show bam at the South Mountain Fairgrounds. It was used during the Summer and fair season.
