The animal weighed 240 pounds and was purchased by Ezra Martin Meat Packing, Lancaster. In total, the sale of the animal grossed Charles $984. The reserve champion hogs owned by Bruce Landis of Penn Manor FFA, were purchased by Chris Kunzler, Lancaster, for 51 cents per pound for a pen of four. The average price paid for the 40 hogs in the sale was 47.50 cents per pound. In the steer sale also held last Friday, champion Bob Hess received 84 cents per pound for his 1060 pound steer. The buyer was Chris Kunzler. Reserve champion, Mark Myers, received 56 cents a pound from Raymond Lemon and Sons, Lampeter.
