thought it was impossible is
what’s important to me "

example of how 4-H builds
character, Judy said “no "
“I don’t think you can say
4-H builds character,” ex
plains Judy. “4-H gives you
room to grow if you want to ”
“That’s the key,” she
continues, “4-H helps people
to grow if they want to, but
you’re not forced to build up
your character if you don’t
feel like it." There’s a fine
shade of difference between
the two concepts, but one
that a long-time 4-H’er can
see.
