All of the 4-H and FFA teams had previously been declared state champions. Top individual per formance was turned in by Allen Galbreath, Street, Md. from the fourth place University of Maryland team. Roger Coulter, Suf field. Conn., trailed Galbreath by 697-661. Dan Loester, Dakota, Illinois, placed third. In addition to Delaware Valley College’s second place finish, Penn State University was ninth in a field of thirteen. Teams from Maryland and Ohio battled each other m the 4-H and FFA com petition. Maryland’s 4-H team edged out the Ohio team by seven points, 1682- 1675. The Maryland FFA team squeaked out another victory over Ohio’s FFA team by a 1359-1358 score. A FFA team from Virginia rounded out the top three with a score of 1333. The Pennsylvania teams finishedninth and sixth in the 4-H and FFA competitions, respectively. Indiana Delaware Co. 4-H Fair held MEDIA - 4-H members from all parts of Delaware County competed in over 250 projects at the annual Delaware County 4-H Fair, held recently at Rose Tree Park, Media. The day’s schedule included a horse show, a sheep show, a poultry and rabbits display, beekeepmg exhibits, as well as a fashion and talent show, colonial craft demon strations, historical displays, farmers’ and gardeners’ market, and a chicken barbeque. The 4-H Fair was a combined effort of the Delaware County 4-H and the Media Bicentennial Com mission. The 4-H sheep division was a two county contest with members from Chester County and Delaware County competing for honors.
