Heffner up for re-election

directors of Agway Inc. He
was selected at the begin
ning of the month by Agway
committeemen at a district
nominating meeting at
Berkshire Inn, here.
Heffner will stand for
reelection to a three-year
term at the Agway Annual
meeting Oct. 28-29 in
Syracuse, N.Y., represen
ting Schuylkill, Dauphin,
Lebanon, Berks, and Lan
caster counties in Penn
sylvania.
Heffner, a member of the
Agway board since 1973,
farms 500 acres, maintains a
100-cow dairy herd, raises
forage crops, grains, and
fruit, and operates a road
side market.
A graduate of Perm State
University with a bachelor of
science in agricultural
education and the University
of Delaware with a master of
science in agricultural
economics, Heffner is a
former secretary of Agway’s
Blue Mountain Zone Com
mittee and a member of the
Cressona Petroleum com
mittee.
