A special meeting of the
Society of Farm Women of
Berks County, Group 6, was
recently held at the home of
Mrs. Richard Schlegel,
president, Boyertown R 3.
Sixteen members attended.
A donation was made to
Lancaster Farming, Saturday, Sept. 11,1976 —
the Green Hills Health
Center in appreciation for
the speech by Dr. Irving
Jones at the August meeting.
A donation was given to a
needy family in the area.
Erma Bauer will help on
the nominating committee at
the county convention,
October 2. Helping at the
coffee and tea hour will be
Berks Co.
A safety program was the
theme of the monthly
meeting of the Berks Co.
Society of Farm Women,
Society 8, of Strausstown
held at the home of Shirley
Davis. Sixteen members
were present. A film on
home canning was shown.
A new member, Debbie
Davis, was initiated into
membership by the
president, Shirley Strieker.
A ham-on-roll sandwich
sale will be held on Sep
tember 25. The sandwiches
will be made at the home of
Doris Koenig. All orders
must be in by September 19.
