Bulls were steady. Four Day Receipts 13,800 compared 13,800 previous week and 15,400 a year ago. Fed cattle prices recorded the most substantial price upturn for a one-week period since early June with most of the advance coming on Monday, it was one of the few times over a ten week period that closing prices were higher than at the end of the previous week. The advance in live prices was supported by higher carcass quotations at the wholesale level and most buying in terests were fairly aggressive for numbers, although some were a bit on the cautious side late.
