Add sour milk and vanilla. Then, sift flour, cocoa, and salt, and add to mixture. Put soda in hot water - add last. Chill and drop on cookie sheets. Bake at 400 F. Makes 45 cookies. Sherri, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Alvin Schnell of New Ringgold, received the award for being one of the four top junior winners in the revue. Junior semi-finalists in cluded Jack Kauffman and Kim Shealer, of the Auburn Cheerful Workers and Maureen Blum of the St. Clair Eager Beavers. Senior semi-finalists included were Tamie Klinger, Weishample Cloverettes, and Pam Leiby of the Lewistown Valley 4-H Club.
