The daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Arthur D. Hershey, Beverly will reign over Chester County’s dairy industry during Carol’s absence. Her family has over 100 head of Holsteins, with which the young lady is quite familiar in addition to being an honor student at Octorara Area High School. During the contest on June 4, Miss Yeager was asked to tell and demonstrate how to milk a cow by hand. To make it a little more challenging, she was asked to pretend that the audience was filled with city slickers. Delighting everyone in the hall with her imaginative, witty, and accurate skit, the 1976 Chester County Dairy Princess displayed some of the talents which she will probably have to call upon during the next 12 months. She is a member of the Girls’ Varsity Club, and her school’s hockey and lacrosse teams. Academically she has also excelled and is a member of the National Honor Society. The young lady is treasurer of the Tri- Community 4-H Club and a member of the 4-H Dairy Club. Last year she was on the dairy judging team. Her family owns 45 Holsteins.
