demonstrations on a variety
of farm activities, program
chairmen indicated at the
conclusion of the meeting.
Preliminary plans call for
all that which pertains to
crops and soils to be on
display in the Penney's Mall.
Other malls will feature
poultry, dairy, pigs, sheep,
beef, and farm machinery.
Members present at the
meeting expressed con
siderable confidence that a
number of eyes would open
wide and jaws would drop
when the price of modern
machinery is revealed to the
public.
In addition, the
Association is planning on
having some displays on
hand which tell of the
organization and its services
to members.
Those serving on com
mittees are asked not to
query Park City officials
until the second week m
June, since the proper
contacts will not be available
until then.
Among the suggestion
made for making the most
out of this PR event, were;
getting the Pa. Secretary of
Agriculture to make an
appearance, announce the
happenings to all of the
media in the area, and set up
realistic displays of farm
scenes such as parlor
equipment, field work, etc.
Accompanying charts would
point out the significance
and costs of each. Ideally,
the LCFA would like to have
members on duty at the Mall
day and night to answer
the public’s questions and
some plans for activities at Park City.
The group will have the entire Mall at
its disposal to bring agriculture close
to the public.
