announced that it will begin
giving S & H Green Stamps
to its customers who use the
bank’s automatic banking
machines.

National Central director of
public relations, the bank is
launching the program
because it has found that
once customers jre in
troduced to automated
banking they
become regular machine
users, but it is difficult
convincing some people to
try it.
“We’ve found that people
are a little reluctant to
change the way they bank,”
said Cox. “At first they are a
little bit intimidated by the
machine. But we’ve also
found that if a customer uses
the machine once or twice.

banks and bank customers
alike over the past
several years. They have
become the answer for many
customers to long teller lines
and the need for banking
services at odd hours.
“It used to be that no bank
could design its hours to
meet the needs of all of its
customers, no matter how
long the bank stayed open,”
said Cox. “But with 24-hour
banking machines
customers get access to their
bank all of the time.”

Stamp incentive. National
