Omaha Cattle

Weekly 51 Cattle
Compared with the
previous week’s close
closing prices on slaughter
steers and heifers 1.00-1.50
lower, some predominantly 4
yield grade 1.75-2.00 off.
Cows 1.00-1.50 lower, and
bulls weak to 1.00 lower. '
Four day receipts 15,100 as
compared 16,000 previous
week and 16,500 year ago.
Selectivity was the keynote
of the week’s cattle trade.
Prices on slaughter steers
and heifers edged slightly
upward on the opening
session, but came under
severe downward pressure
on following days. Trading
generally slow and
deliberate with all interests
selective for cutability in
reflection of the wide dif
ferential between yield
grade 3 and yield grade 4
carcasses.
