Suggesting that the ladies consider for example, the foundation of a building, she .pointed out that if a solid foundation is not there, “it will fall apart and it’s the same with a garment.” Demonstrating with samples of clothing and accessories, she went on to illustrate how the new fusible innerfadngs (different from the old iron ons by the fact that they are applied with heat, steam and pressure) are properly applied, accomplishing a finished, professional look. In addition to showing how the innerfadngs are used in traditionally innerfaced garment sections, her demonstration included some less well-known uses such as reinforcing a fly front on slacks to prevent puckering, applying laces and appliques without the need for top stitching; and adding body without af fecting the stretchability of kbit, U-neck shirt openings.
