April 24.1976 20 Peach festival starts GATCHELLVILLE Maple Lawn Farms, is ready to receive visitors for their second annual Peach Blossom Festival, which begins today, (Saturday) at 10 am. Sunday’s activities start at 1 pm. Programs on both days last until 6 pm. Located three miles north of Fawn Grove, near the village of Gatchellville, Maple Farms personnel have erected peach tree signs to help direct motorists to the site. Moving to a much larger building than last year’s site in anticipation of more craftsmen, more home made food concessions and more guests, this year’s event promises to be a real “celebration of life on die land,” according to Mr. and Mrs. Paul McPherson, who initiated the festival last April at their Gatchellville farm. Already they have amassed over 40 craftsmen from Maryland and Penn sylvania to-show and sell their handiwork; everything from art to ceramics, needlework to refrigerator magnets, hand-painted jewelry to sand art, dolls, wood carving, leaded glass, macrame, scrimshaw, caning, leather craft, rugs, flowers, calico and candles, acrylic blocks, Christmas ornaments, cone craft and Bicentennial memorabilia.
