recently announced a proposed loan program for 1976-
crop tobacco, with loans at higher levels than in 1975 to
reflect increases in the index of prices paid by farmers,
including wage rates, interest and taxes. Under the
proposed program, loans will be made as in the past to
associations under contract with Commodity Credit'
Corporation.
