The Annual Fund Raising
Banquet is the principal
means of support for the
industry’s state-wide trade
association. The gala social
evening attracts producers
and suppliers from all over
the United States and has
necessitated moving to a
facility that has a seating
capacity of eleven hundred.
However, Bill Carlin,
president of the Penn
sylvania Federation,
indicated that based on’
ticket sales to date for this
year, the Federation may
. have to plan on two separate
banquet halls for next year
followed by bringing the
groups together for the
entertainment portion of the
evening. Mr. Carlin con
tinued that this may be the
last year that the entire
group can be seated in one
area, but the separate
banquet hall concept is
similar to that being used by
many of the poultry
associations in the South.
Tickets to the affair are
being sold by 55 industrymen
throughout Pennsylvania.
