working with 4-H clubs.
At the meeting, Macy
Myers gave a mini-report on
“The Wool.” Macy also
brought in different objects
having to do with wool, the
manufacturing, and the
products made from wool.
Fred Keys also gave a mini
report on “The Cleanliness
of the Pen.”
A tail docking demon

All herds were at least 15
per cent above the state
average for butterfat last
year, while at least two
thirds of the cows in these
herds are progeny of
Atlantic sires. The awards
were presented by C. P.
Brantley, Atlantic’s Field
Supervisor for this area.
Reports by District 4
Director Clyde Martin of
East Earl, Pa., and
management representative
Willis Ritchey, Service
Manager, informed mem
bers that 1975 was a very
successful business year for
Atlantic. The service
program was up-dated with
the entire area divided into
66 units and all farmer -
members can now use WATS
numbers to call toll-free for
AI service. Atlantic sires
maintained their rating
among the nation’s best for
transmitting profitable
traits, Ritchey said.
The first meeting of the
York County Central Tractor
Club was held at the 4-H
Center near Bair. The
following officers were
elected: President: Jack
