The high herd in the Berks County DHIA testing
program For January belonged to Charles Plushanski. His
75 head of Holsteins pumped out an average of 1.96 pounds
of butterfat per head. The individual butterfat leader for
the month also came out of the Plushanski herd. "Fuzzy,”
a five-year-old, finished her 305-day lactation with 23,281
pounds of milk and 967 of butterfat. A cow named "Lisa”
in Andrew Stoltzfus* herd checked in with the high lac
tation for mi1k—25,457 pounds with 854 of butterfat.
