Replicas of an outstanding Charolais bull were
presented recently to Penn State doctoral can
didate Kent A. Barber, left, of Fleming, and Dr. John
0. Almquist, center, in charge of the Dairy Breeding
Research Center at University Park, The replicas
honored the two men for research in identifying
Charolais bulls of superior growth and
reproductive capacity. David Seamans of State
College, right, presented the models for the
Pennsylvania Charolais Association, the Colonial
Charolais Association, and the American-
International Charolais Association groups
supplying animals and partial financial support.
The replicas are scale models of Mr. Penn State,
right, one of the bulls in the study. The sculptor was
Amelia Romaniec of Pine Grove Mills.
