    Edwin Funk s 40 Holsteins took first place in Lebanon County’s DHIA sununary for
December, running ,08 pounds of butterfat per head per day ahead of the second-place
herd, owned by Norman Kline.
The highest individual butterfat production record belonged to a 10-year-old
Holstein in the Melvin Horst herd. She put out 883 pounds. The champion milk
producer for the month was Willow Maple Farm’s "Luna,” a five-year-old Holstein
who pumped out 28,145 pounds.
