In his first year in agriculture Ken was awarded the Star Greenland Degree. Ken’s farming program consisted of field corn, swine fattening and dairy calves. Hia farming programs Include beef finishing, dairy production, small grains, corn and machinery management. Scott has received many awards for livestock Judging and ag. mechanics in county and state contests. He is also a member of the school marching and concert bands, dance band and the chorus. Curt Hess Curt Hess Kenneth Pierce Lampeter-Strasburg H.S. Curt Hess is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Richard H. Hess of Strasburg Rl. A senior at Lampeter-Strasburg High School, he has been very active in the FFA. Curt has served as both the chaplain and the sentinel for his chapter, and at the present time is serving as president. He also holds the office of sentinel in the Lancaster County Chapter, He has completed production projects in dairy, beef, com and tobacco, and has participated in several FFA contests. Curt has also been active in the 4-H dairy and beef clubs. He is quite interested in sports, and played on the Lampeter- Strasburg varisty football team this past season. He is also a member of the varsity wrestling team. Kenneth Pierce Annville-Cleona H.S. Kenneth Pierce is the son of Mr. and Mrs. William Pierce of RIM Palmyra. A graduate of Annville-Cleona High School, he is currently employed by Alelpa Farms RD2 Palmyra. During his years in the FFA he served as Treasurer and Parlimentarian of the Little Dutchmen Chapter. Scott Hunt is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Walter E. Klahold, R. D. 11, Hellam, Pa. Scott, a senior at Eastern York High School, is presently the chapter vice-president. Amy Jo Peters, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Victor C. Peters Sr., 1805 Russell Road, Lebanon is the first girl from the Little Dutchmen FFA Chapter to be awarded the Keystone Farmal Degree. Jo’s farming program, while in high school, con sisted of horses, beef fat tening and work experience. She won several awards at the county and state project book contests with her horse projects.
