This past Wednesday,
just 15 days after the
blaze occurred, neigh
bors and friends from the
Manheim-Lititz areas
swarmed to the 801 l farm
to put up a new struc
ture.

The first volunteer
carpenters arrived at
6:30 a.m. and thirty
minutes later they were
busy with their saws and
hammers. The place was
buzzing with activity.
By mid-afternoon all
but a couple of the roof
trusses were in place and
metal sheets were being

original, being somewhat
lower in height and
minus the north wing.

original main barn and

115 feet.
