Show often not set into type until Friday morning • and by that time other available material must go in first so that we can meet our deadlines at the press as well as at the Post Office. Con sequently, it can and does happen that not enough space remains for those activities which took place during the latter part of Thursday and Friday morning, prior to our going to. the presses. The Pennsylvania All- American Dairy Show at the Farm Show Complex was cancelled last week because of flooding, watching the water rise are: Dale Maulfair and his wife, Pattie, from Jonestown; Shawn Hernley of Lebanon; and Robert Shuey of Grant vi Me. The Maulfairs showed the reserve grand champion in the Ayrshire Junior Dairy Show. Anthony Eberly showed the reserve grand champion steer at the Ephrata Fair last week. The event was held in spite of inclement weather. Jmmerman showl r last week. The youth also came in grand champion steer at the Ephrata first in the fitting contest. winners listed Maulfair. The junior champion belonged to Pattie Kay Ocker, while Bill Henley scored as reserve Junior champ with this entry. The champion showman ahd fitter of the show was Dale Maulfair. She is a daughter of Nancy’s Sleeping Advancer. The reserve banners tor grand and senior champion were also presented to Eick. This time the animal was a three year old sired by R.A. Pattison. The Junior champion was shown by Lori Sollenberger, and the reserve Junior champion by Beth Carol Stephens. The champion fitter and showman for the Jersey show was Debra Cassel, with Pat Jenkins taking second place.
