EPHRATA • Returning from Harrisburg, where he won the Holstein FFA show for the third year in a row, Russell Kline came to the Ephrata Fair in spite of rains and relatively low temperatures to capture the grand champion honor. Kline, who manages his own herd of 40 Holsteins near Denver, exhibited “Fought Lands Eagle Ingra” at the Pennsylvania Junior Dairy Show on Monday at the Farm Show Complex and was present at Wednesday’s show in Ephrata. “Ingra,” a daughter of Paclamar Ivanhoe Black Eagle, was purchased by Kline from his father as a two-year old. AYRSHIRES Doreen Rac Martin of Ephrata had the first-place senior yearling which went on to Junior champion and reserve grand champion honors. Jay Gerhart of Reinholds showed the senior and grand champion, a three-year old daughter by Oak Ridge Flashy Klondike. Dennis Martin of Stoveng had the reserve senior and reserve grand champion with his six year old daughter of the Flashy Klondike bull. The exhibitor also showed the reserve Junior champion • a junior calf - and the first place junior yearling.
