USDA issues tentative decision on egg research and promotion WASHINGTON - The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) an nounced that evidence received at a public hearing Justifies issuing a proposed nationally coordinated research and promotion order for eggs. USDA's Agricultural Marketing Service (AMS) called tor public comments on its tentative decision by Sept. 12, after which a final decision will be made. If the final decision supports such a program, egg producers would vote on it. AMS Poultry Division Director Connor Kennett said the proposed program would be financed by han dler-collected assessments on producers of up to 5 cents per 30-dozen case of eggs. Producers not wishing to participate would be reimbursed upon written request. FOR SALE 1478 ACRES FARM LAND Land all joins. Can be purchased in units or as a whole.
