Machinery Demonstrations Machinery companies and dealers will demonstrate their newest forage harvesting equipment including corn silage harvesters; large package hay units; tillage and potato harvesting equipment; chemical applicators; and helicoptor spraying. , Home Horticulture Display A unique program for rural and urban people will feature a home horticulture display including a home vegetable garden; special cultural demonstrations; and an annual flower garden. Forest Resources Activities Those attending the field days will see demonstrations on woodlot planning, home treating of fence posts; firewood selection; skidder and loader operation; and the various uses of maple sugar products. Educational Exhibits Federal and state agncultural agencies, organizations, and various departments of Penn State’s College of Agriculture will present exhibits showing the products and services they provide. This will include general agnculture; conservation; and home and family living. Youth Activities 4-H members and leaders from eight northwestern Pennsylvania counties will present educational pro grams in 16 4-H project areas. Projects include fishing; outdoor cooking; bicycle; rocketry; sheep; horse; cloth ino: and physical fitness. Dairy Program A varied program for those interested in the dairy busi ness has been planned. You will see hoof trimming demonstrations: manure storage and handling: feeding systems: calf housing: and commercial exhibits featur ing milking equipment. Livestock Program Efficient production of livestock will be featured in edu cational exhibits and demonstrations. New ideas in livestock handling: crossbreeding: and feeding will be presented.
