Saturday, August 9, 1975 Firm challenges EPA CHICAGO - Velsicol Chemical Corporation has announced that it will challenge the En vironmental Protection Agency’s decision to suspend chlordane and heptachlor insecticides because the products are safe and vital to the nation’s agricultural economy. At a press conference on July 30, EPA officials an nounced their decision to suspend certain uses of chlordane and heptachlor.
