    Fulton Grangers
to see Phillies
Approximately SO attended
the Fulton Grange picnic
meeting on July 28, 1975. A
brief business meeting was
held following the meal.
Glenn Hough reported on
attending Leadership
School, Youth Camp and
Junior Grange Camp.
Peggy Galbreath reported
that the Grange will go to a
Phillies versus San Diego
game on August 15. Tickets
are $5.25 • this includes ticket
and bus ride. The bus will
leave Quarryville from the
Church Street parking lot at
4:45, Those leaving from the
Grange hall should be at the
hall by 5:00. Anyone in
terested in a ticket should
contact Peggy Galbreath,
548-2576.
The annual Region H
Youth Conference will be
held on August 10 at Kutz
town Grange Hall. The
registration fee is $2.25;
anyone is welcome to attend.
Those interested in going
should contact Pcbev
Galbreath.
The program was opened
with a trio, Mrs. Everett
Kreider and daughters Linda
and Diane, singing “I
Believe In a Hill Called
Mount Calvary.” Lecturer
Joyce Holloway read riddles
and the members guessed
answers.

Round baling tips offered
A new brochure, “Far
mer's Guide to Round
Baling” is being offered free
by Sperry New Holland. The
24-pages are filled with in
formation put together by
Dr. John Baylor, Professor
of Agronomy Extension at
Penn State.
Covered in the brochure
are topics such as which
tractor to use, preparing the
windrow, the right moisture,
Galbreath and Robert
Sawyer reported on Junior
Grange camp.
The Pomona Grange
picnic will be held Saturday,
August 16 at 7:00 p.m, at
Huffnagle Park.

Weaver posts
created position of
manufacturing planning and
controls manager within the
Weaver Manufacturing
Services division.
A graduate of
Elizabethtown College, with
a B.S. degree in business,
Lafferty joined Weaver in
1969 as a cost accounting
supervisor, and in 1973, was
named financial planning
and cost accounting
manager. In his new position
as manufacturing planning
and controls manager he will
be responsible for the
direction of the standards
and methods, production
scheduling, production in
ventory and control plan
ning, long range planning,
and Denver Wood Products
activities at Weaver.
Long, formerly financial
analyst, has been promoted
to the position of financial
planning and cost accounting
manager within the
Financial Division.
Long, a graduate of
Elizabethtown College with a
Bachelor’s degree in ac
counting, joined Weaver
upon graduation in 1970 as an
accounting trainee. Since
then, he had held positions as
a cost accounting super
- visor, and financial analyst.
In his new position he will be
responsible for cost ac
counting, financial planning,
financial inventory control
activities. For further in
