He is a son of Hilltop Apollo Ivanhoe and his dam is scored Excellent 90
points with records of 20,000. His grandam is an Excellent 92 point Gold
Medal cow with records of over 28,000 and 1100 of fat.
As you would expect from his pedigree, the Virginians are tall, up
standing, long-bodied individuals with good strength throughout. As
young cows, they look quite immature in that they are not deep-bodied,
but as they mature, they become deeper in the heart and deeper in the
rear rib. They have a good, strong, wide chest at all times. The udder
conformation of the Virginian daughters is extremely good. They are very
high and wide in the rear udder attachment, acceptable in fore udder in
that they are slightly bulgy but firmly attached at intermediate quality
with a good center support with proper teat size and placement. Also the
legs and feet are extremely good on the bull He is a bull that can be used
to improve strength of loin and as young cows or two years olds, they may
even have some slight slope from hooks to pins - no serious problem.
